[atrb=width,490,true] Nguyen, Jade FULL NAME Jade Nguyen ALIAS Cheshire ALIGNMENT Villain AGE Twenty-nine ORIGIN Gotham APPEARANCE Jade’s features embrace her Vietnamese heritage more than than her sister’s. Chestnut colored, almond shaped eyes sit in an oval face. Rosy thin lips that pull down in an almost perpetual frown sit below a slightly crooked nose, the result of one to many broken noses. Thick inky black locks frame her face, a lion’s mane when not tied back. Standing at five foot six inches, Jade is taller than most women. Having been trained to fight since childhood Jade is all lean muscle. She has a body that most women envy. Her naturally tan skin is littered with scars, evidence of a light spent fighting. Her long skinny fingers and the palm of her hand are decorated with callouses from years of weapon training and fighting. Not one to hide her body, Jade can usually be found wearing jeans and tank tops. Her hair will normally be tied back into a ponytail to keep it out of her face when she is not out on a mission. An old baseball cap will usually complete her outfit. When out at night as Cheshire, Jade wears a short forest green kimono whose sleeves have long since been torn off. Underneath the kimono she wears some light body armor, the black and gray of the armor can be seen though the ripes and tears of her outfit. The armor covers her chest, stomach and runs over her shoulders and arms, leaving the underside of her upper arms exposed. Clawed armoured black elbow length gloves meet with her armor, appearing as if it is all one piece. Green ribbons of cloth wrap around her hands and wrists. Black shorts can be seen peeking out from under her green kimono and black knee high boots protect her legs. A mask that is reminiscent of a feline completes her outfit. The mask is mostly white in color, two red tiger stripes decorate both sides of the mask and one on the top. It has a large grin painted onto it, a Cheshire grin. PERSONALITY Stubborn and hard headed, Jade does not like being told what to do, more so when her father is the one telling her. For the most part she is a loner, she does not care for people enough to warrant making many friends. She is cold and calculating, necessary factors for her line of work. Watching people’s pain and suffering is something that the female assassin enjoys to do, it gives her a good laugh when she needs it. Manipulation is the name of the game and Jade plays it well. She will say and do things solely to tick off people or to get her way. For the most part Jade loves to play aloof but she is always on high alert. She is always prepared for a fight, rarely does she let her guard down. In her own way Jade is a caring person, though it is only for her family and the few people she calls friends. She cares deeply for her sister and her mother, her father less so but she would avenge him if only for her pride and reputation. She is passionate and a big flirt. She enjoys teasing her sister and Roy when they are pitted against one another. Getting Roy flustered has become one of her favorite pass times. Since the death of her daughter Jade has become angrier and vengeful. She will do anything to kill the person that killed her little girl. Everything she does is in some way to help her get closer to figuring out the mystery. While she has always been cold, she had now become cold hearted to everyone one around her even those she cares for. While a part of her still loves Roy, she can not be around him without remember their daughter and happier times. Prolonged periods of time together an results in her temper flaring and a yelling match, followed by a quick fighting match, before one or the both walk away to cool down. While they can be civilized Jade does not want anyone to know just how attached she is to the red headed archer in fear that the people that went after their daughter will come for him as well. She is beginning to accept that positive emotions and romantic attachments are bad for an assassin of her caliber.
