The Roman Empire was one of the most powerful civilizations to have ever existed in the history of human creation, it standing strong for several centuries with rulers whose decisions were never questioned. This regime was infamous among the other countries of the world because of its ruthless nature - few dared question their authority let alone challenge them. Like every great empire though, Rome was not built in a day - no. It took several decades before the rulers of this nation could even fathom a fraction of the power which they could one day hold and the Petrov Empire, no matter how powerful it may be, began in a similar manner.  It was in the late nineteenth century that that a small family immigrated to the United States, Alaric Petrov assuming that the great land would provide support for he and his wife along with their unborn son. He was able to get a job at the local butcher within a few days of their arrival and establish himself in the community without issue just as he had assumed he would be able to, but before his son was even three years of age something would change in the slowly expanding city in which he lived. Distinct lines were drawn between the ethnic groups of the area, thus leading to the creation of gangs and forcing everyday businessmen to choose a side. It was the first time that the Petrov surname ever associated with criminal activity, but by the time that man's sons came of age dwelling with these people seemed like second nature. Years of hard work would eventually lead the family to become not a member of these gangs nor their ruler, but rather their untouchable dictator. Aleksander Petrov, the last kin to this bloodline, has expanded his family's empire to encompass more than his forefathers could ever imagine controlling. Nearly every gang in New York reports to his franchise before doing anything that could be marked distasteful, thus expanding his base to encompass nearly every illegal operation one could imagine. To ensure his power, Petrov has even taken to employing trained mercenaries - not to mention a few psychotic members of society which the Justice League would do anything to see in an inhibitor collar. If things continue to go the way that they have been over the past few years, it is only a matter of time until he marks himself one of the most powerful men in the world.
