Cadmus Laboratories is a privately funded research center which is currently looking into various genetic projects such as cancer and tumors. Of course this is only a public cover up for the owner’s true intentions though for in reality, Lex Luthor is using this area to create a counter genetic species which would match the abilities of Superman.
